Haus of Dawgs ????
About This Spot
Stepping into Haus of Dawgs in the heart of George Town is like entering a small haven where the pace gently slows, inviting you to savor simple pleasures and thoughtful flavors. This family-run fast food spot blends casual comfort with a sense of genuine warmth, where each visit feels more like being welcomed into a close-knit kitchen than just grabbing a meal on the go.
The atmosphere here is quietly unpretentious—a cozy little corner where friendly smiles come as naturally as the scent of freshly cooked dishes. Conversations flow easily, whether between the father and son who run the place or the visitors sharing a moment over a carefully crafted plate. The rhythm is calm yet inviting, encouraging you to pause and enjoy the space as much as the food.
What makes Haus of Dawgs truly stand out is the sincere care embedded in every detail, from the vibrant, home-style flavors to the subtle nods to local food heritage. The menu isn’t just a list of choices but an experience shaped by personal stories and dedication: each bite tells of family recipes, culinary influences from abroad, and the joyful experimentation of a kitchen that thrives on connection.
There’s a particular charm in watching the owners at work, their hands deftly assembling hot dogs or stirring a special Saturday fried rice that somehow manages to balance comfort with a lively, umami-rich twist. This is a place where food becomes conversation — a way to build community in the heart of Penang’s eclectic food scene.
Whether you’re here to try a carefully spiced hot dog, enjoy a comforting vegetarian option, or simply soak in the relaxed, unhurried vibe, Haus of Dawgs offers more than just a quick meal. It’s a quiet celebration of good food, thoughtful flavors, and the kind of human moments that make a local spot worth returning to again and again.

Saturday Special at Haus of Dawgs — Nasi Goreng Hailam Like No Other! What a delightful surprise from Haus of Dawgs! Their home-cooked “Nasi Goreng Hailam”, served every Saturday, is truly something special. Fragrant fried rice infused with the rich, umami kick of salted fish, tossed with vibrant vegetables and topped with fresh green chilies — it’s a perfect blend of comfort and flavour in every bite. The dish is beautifully paired with crisp fresh lettuce and their signature hotdog made from chicken breast, juicy and seared to perfection. A wholesome twist that makes the meal feel indulgent yet satisfying. You can taste the care and heart poured into every serving — and the best part? It’s all from the humble home kitchen of Haus of Dawgs , where good food and warm vibes meet. If you haven’t tried their Saturday Special or their delicious Dawgs yet, make it your next weekend treat — you’ll thank yourself later! #HausOfDawgs #NasiGorengHailam #Hotdog #SaturdaySpecial #HomeCookedWithLove #ComfortFoodDoneRight #AmoreWalkLoveLane #LocalFood #SupportLocal

Ordered the devil dog with cola after a disappointed meal in a japanese restaurant. This hot dog saved my day by being very tasty. It was spicy but not that spicy. Also the owner couple was very friendly and put a lots a effort on this hot dog. I think they were so precisely making it and didnt notice how I was following the process :). I really enjoyed it and the place was very comfy and calm.

Really enjoyed my devil dog. Only issue is that I ate it too fast. Delicious and both father and son were really nice. Son used to be a cook in the US so he's bringing that skill set to Penang.

Lovely family owned restaurant. Quite cosy. Had a very friendly conversation with the older gentleman (dad). He kindly recommended a few places to visit while we're in Penang. Great food - the chicken sausages are 100% chicken breast and I was assured that everything is halal. Would definitely revisit. Vegetarian hot dog available

Came across this joint from bar hopping all around Georgetown, and was craving a good snack - hotdog and Haus of Dawgs has it! Toasty and buttery bun with a good dog, along with mac and cheese to end the night. Thank you Adrian and Lina, for the fantastic hospitality!

Dropped by a friend’s new sausage bun stall the Haus of Dawgs and wow, what a treat! They serve an impressive variety of flavours. My son ordered the mashed potato-topped bun and couldn’t stop talking about it. I tried the bolognese—rich, tasty, and absolutely comforting! The rich sauce, flavorful meat, and soft bun made every bite satisfying. If you’re looking for a fun twist on the classic sausage bun, this stall is definitely worth a visit. Friendly service, creative toppings, and great value. Highly recommended!
